What this website is, and what it is not

Letting Checks is an independent guide to the safety checks and certificates that landlords in the United Kingdom are required to arrange. It is not a law firm, a surveying practice, a letting agent or a certification body, and nothing on it is legal advice for your particular property. Each guide states the date on which the rules were checked and links to the official text it relies on.

Some links lead to services that put you in touch with professionals. When one of those services pays us for an introduction, the link says so. How we choose what to recommend is explained on How we work.
