Cookie policy
Last updated: 30 October 2026.
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), a website must ask for consent before storing non-essential cookies on your device. Letting Checks keeps this simple: the public website does not set advertising, analytics or social media cookies, so there is no consent banner to click through.
What is stored on your device
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| lc-calendar (browser storage) | Remembers the dates you typed in the renewal calendar, only if you tick “remember on this device” | Functional, set at your request | Until you clear it |
| wordpress_* cookies | Only for the site’s editors when they log in | Strictly necessary | Session |
Partner websites
When you follow a link to a quote service, that website sets its own cookies, including cookies that record that you came from Letting Checks so the introduction can be credited. Those cookies are covered by the partner’s own cookie policy and consent tool.
Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking browser storage only stops the renewal calendar from remembering your dates.
